The North East Legal Support Trust 2016 Grants Round
Closing date for applications: 9am on Wednesday 9 November 2016
Requests for funding will be considered from organisations and projects which widen the availability of access to justice for the most vulnerable people, and in particular families and individuals living in poverty throughout the North East.

The priorities for this grants round are:
- Provision of free legal advice services to those most in need within North East.
- Provision of funding where none exists or to supplement existing funding. Projects for which the trustees feel Legal Aid Agency funding is suitable will not be supported.
- Free legal advice provision where the service is at risk.
- One off capital support to increase the capacity of an agency to deliver its service.
The following key criteria will also be considered:
- Provision of free representation at court or tribunal.
- Effective use of existing and future resources.
- The involvement of multiple delivery partners.
- The use of pro bono lawyers.
