"Legal eagles walking the Tyne to help advice charities"
Laura Cassidy said: “This year, the North East Legal Support Trust (NELST) in partnership with the Access to Justice Foundation are organising the Walk The Tyne to raise vital funds for local advice charities. The walk will take place on Saturday 29th October.
“The Walk the Tyne event encompasses a full or half marathon and attracts more experienced runners as well as those looking to do something different with their weekend. Participants can choose which distance they cover and whether they’d like to run, walk, cycle or even skip along one of the most iconic waterways in the country.
“The event raises funds for local free legal advice charities throughout the North East. Teams from local law firms, chambers, in-house legal teams and legal advice charities will come together along with local judges to raise funds to support vital, local legal advice services such as Citizens Advice Bureau and Law Centres.
“Walk the Tyne brings together teams from local firms, chambers and in-house legal departments, along with local judges to support local advice agencies which provide essential legal services for free to those unable to afford private legal help.”
